This is a fantastic diary of the WW1 Battle of the Mons and the Great retreat by a Soldier (unnamed) from the 9th Brigade also known as the Iron Brigade, explaining what he went through on certain dates, also a part a bout a patrol and blowing up bridges on their retreat, this also have a typed up version of the diary so its easier to read and a photocopies of the pages of the diary, I cannot see a name on who this belonged too, also there are pages ripped out towards the end. A fantastic bit of history.
