Original Item: One-of-a-kind; 1 standard British WW2 Tommy steel Helmet (referred to as a ”Brodie” Helmet) complete with original olive green paint, original liner and chin strap, and bears a hand painted Regimental Insignia on the front of the helmet. In the shape of a shield 2 ?” x 2” in size showing what appears to be a silver lance or halberd head on a muted multicolored field of yellow, black and red covered in silver stars. Penciled onto the steel interior is ”Pte. E. Kelly, 26th. Batt. —– —–” unfortunately the Regiment is unreadable to us. A really interesting Original Helmet with this Regimental devise, well worthy of additional research
